Welcome to the SC&F Youth Aerial Arts program!
Get ready to fly! Sanctuary Climbing & Fitness is thrilled to offer a Youth Aerial Arts program—a perfect opportunity for the youth student to soar, spin and build confidence through aerial movement.
We’re offering specialized classes for both the beginner and experienced beginner youth student ages 8-15, where participants will learn the ins and outs of both vertical apparatuses like silks and rope, and bar/horizontal apparatuses like lyra and trapeze.
Whether your child is brand-new to aerial or already loves climbing and flipping, this program is designed to meet them where they are—and help them fly higher than ever!

YOUTH I: Introductory Aerial Arts
Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of aerial arts! Our YOUTH I class is designed for children ages 8-15, providing a safe and fun environment to explore movement on both vertical and horizontal/bar apparatuses.
What to expect in this introductory class series for the youth student:
Dynamic Learning: Taught by the talented Coach Ramona, students will spend the first two weeks mastering lyra and trapeze (bar). We’ll then transition into two weeks of rope, silks or sling (vertical)! This blend ensures a comprehensive introduction to aerial arts.
Skill Development: Each session is designed to boost strength, control, awareness, flexibility, and grace. Through playful and creative exercises, kids will learn the fundamentals of aerial arts while having loads of fun!
Life Skills: Beyond physical skills, this class integrates essential life practices such as teamwork, respect, focus,and imagination. We believe in nurturing not just aerialists, but well-rounded individuals.
Small Class Size: With a cap of just six students, every child will receive personal attention and encouragement, fostering a close-knit and supportive atmosphere.
This class is suitable for the beginner student.
PLUS+ Opportunity to perform in the annual SanctuAerial student showcase! Attendance of Session 3 is required for all students wishing to perform.
YOUTH II: youth Advanced Beginner Aerial Arts

Four (4) week series:
YOUTH II: Youth Advanced Beginner Aerial Arts
This class is for the youth participant who has completed 3+ sessions or the equivalent experience. Instructor approval is required. Please ask your coach if you are unsure of which class to sign up for.
What to expect in this class series for the advanced beginner student:
Exploration of all apparatuses: In this exciting class, students will learn safe and fun ways to move on and off the silks, rope, trapeze, sling and lyra. Each session is tailored to help the youth student explore a variety of aerial expressions.
Skill development: The class focuses on building strength, control, awareness, flexibility, and grace in the air. Students will begin with an energetic warm-up, and building off of previously learned essentials students will explore new movements and choreography in the air.
Creative Fundamentals: Throughout each 50-minute class, participants will take turns on the apparatus, mastering the playful and creative advanced beginner fundamentals of aerial arts.
Life Skills Integration: We believe in fostering well-rounded individuals! Students will also learn valuable life practices such as teamwork, focus and imagination as they work together in a supportive, community environment.
PLUS+ Opportunity to perform in the annual SanctuAerial student showcase! Attendance of Session 3 is required for all students wishing to perform.

Session 1: January 25th-February 15th (February 22nd & March 1st off)
Session 2: March 8th-March 29th (April 5th & 12th off)
Session 3: April 19-May 24th (6 week session)*
4 week session rates:
Member rate: $110 each session
Guest rate: $130 each session
Session 3 | 6 Week session rates:
*session 3 is a six (6) week session. Session 3 consists of six (6) classes and has different rates.
Member rate: $165 (6 week session)
Guest rate: $195 (6 week session)
Note: you may sign up for any one or more sessions. Each session is held for four (4) weeks unless otherwise specified and classes are held once per week. A total of four (4) classes per session (unless otherwise specified).
IMPORTANT class REMINDERs:
Please wear comfortable workout clothing. Leggings, a leotard or other snug fitting clothing are preferred for aerial classes. Please cover your knees, arms, armpits, mid-drift & back for the most comfort and to avoid friction burns from the apparatus. Please do not wear any jewelry, zippers, rhinestones, sequins or anything else that may damage the apparatus. Please do not wear any strong scented lotions or perfumes to class. Always bring a reusable water bottle to class.
All youth participants ages 16+ are welcome to sign up for any of the weekly scheduled classes! See schedule and info here.
